Do you have a hard time getting back to the gym and healthy eating after a vacation? It can be tough. You probably indulged in sweets and carbs you normally don’t. Activity is usually limited or non-existant. All of this makes it tough to jump back in to your usual routines.
After ten days in Vegas and being sick, I pondered how was I going to get back to clean eating and exercise. Below are my tips to jumping back into healthy living.
1. If you have a personal trainer, schedule your next appointment for the day after you return. You will have accountability to get started again.
2. Plan a workout with a friend to catch up and talk about your vacation.
3. Make a grocery list and go to the store first thing when you return. Don’t let there be the excuse of “there was nothing in the house” to stand in your way of eating healthy.
4. Make a crockpot meal that is clean which you can eat for lunch a couple of days. This will help you get back into the routine of eating.
5. Plan a week’s worth of workouts. Write out when you will go, what you will do, and then do it.
