Looks like I made it to another cheat day and it couldn’t come any sooner. Honestly, I love eating clean but this week peanut butter has been on my mind something ridiculous. Tonight I will be having the biggest bowl of peanut butter and jelly mixed with a big glass of skim milk. That is my cheat meal and I absolutely cannot wait. My mouth is salivating just thinking about it. Is it sad to only want peanut butter? Who cares!!! That is the point of cheat meal…you indulge with what you want and crave.
Today I had my appointment with my own personal trainer. I can’t say enough how important having a PT is for your workouts. It just pays to have someone push you and remind you what a workout should look like. I know my own workouts are tough, but when you have someone else taking the reigns it never fails that you push harder and go a little further than usual. Every time I work with Bill I find a new level of achievement and just set that bar a little higher for my next workout. The other good thing about a personal trainer is that you have someone design your program to make sure you are seeing benefits and not just working hard for nothing.
OK…so today was cardio only. I had completed all of my weight training for the week yesterday. Here’s the routine we did:
Treadmill: 5 min. warm-up walk, (off the treadmill) 30 seconds continuous lunges on left leg, 30 seconds conitnuous lunges on right leg, 60 seconds pop-squats, (back to treadmill)2-min. jog, recovery walk for 2-3 minutes. Repeat pattern for thirty minute workout. Afterward I did 30 minutes of steady-state (75-80% HR Max) elliptical on the cross-training program. I think it was level 10 or so resistance.
The hour went by fast and I was glad to get home a little early today.
