Biography: I am 26-year wife of almost 7 years. I have battled weight off and on since a child. I lost some weight while I was a teenager and gained it back when I moved from home and got married. Since I have been married, I have started many diets, or exercise routines but I never put my heart into them. After not seeing any results in a couple of weeks, I would quit and say that I would be fat forever. My family would say “its genetics” and I allowed the FGT to stay around.
Why and When you got involved with PnP: I met Corinne on the WW Boards in April 2007. I wanted to get in shape before I got pregnant. It’s honestly taken me awhile to get one board but I am on this wagon and strapped on so I wont fall off!
What types of workouts you do? Strength Training, Taebo and walk/jogs in my weekend schedule but looking to move that to C25K. I am currently doing the Blast the Fat Challenge.

What keeps you motivated? Watching my body get stronger and more definition that I know that I could have. Also seeing my body LOVE healthier foods instead of the junk food that I use to eat. I want this to be a creature of habit so when we have a family that it’s something that they are use too. My husband helps me stay motivated as well. Whenever I complain or start letting FGT creep up, he says, “You are doing a great job honey. You are looking great. I can really see a difference.” It makes me want to get to the gym and workout harder. And all of my PnP girls – you all motivate me in one-way or another.
Eating plan: I try to eat clean but I haven’t mastered it 100%; I still have my occasional splurge but everyday I am working on trying to eat cleaner and healthier. This isn’t something that changes overnight but it’s an ongoing journey.
Favorite exercise: Strength Training! I also have developed a love for running. I love the way I feel. I do love Corinne’s Butt Blaster on the treadmill as I call it!
Something you never thought you'd be able to do and either can do or have tried doing: Physically; running. Food wise; I never thought I would be able to say no to CANDY but I am able to walk by the candy dish at work and not dip my hands into it. I find myself with more self-control than ever. I have cut out about 99% of my diet soda out of my diet and replaced it with water! And trying new foods, I would NEVER try before.
How has PnP affected your life? I believe that I have learned a lot about nutrition as well as exercise knowledge but I have now applied it to my life, finding strength within myself that I never thought I would have. Helping other people, which includes my whole family and anyone who will listen to me about PnP because I believe that everyone deserves to have a long, healthy life.

Could you add a piece about how you were one of the PnP members prior to the website launching? What do you think of the PnP Site and what suggestions would you have for us? When I first started with PnP, it was basically just Corinne doing it all for us. But as we grew and needed more we have gained some wonderful mods who help us with our tools, giving us more than what we could ask of our beloved Queen Corinne. Thanks girls!
I remember that Corinne talked to all of us about it and this is something she was worried about because she didn’t want us to lose our connection we had with PnP but she wanted to be able to help more than just a handful of us girls. Overall, if we “lost” any of our advantages, we honestly have gained so much more now. What a great success we have had.
There best part of our new site that we have now that I have come to love and appreciate is how easy it is to navigate around (you couldn’t find your way around our old site very well), we have so many tools that we can access ANYWHERE and EVERYWHERE. How lucky we are to have downloads available to us whenever and wherever of schedules, books, workshops, reading discussions, online journals that help ourselves by looking back and seeing our own progress and so much more.
Today, we have 7 mods along with Corinne who are on here everyday helping us by doing discussions, creating another workshop (you never know what they have on the back burner cooking up for us next), answering our questions. This, along with participation from our fellow PnPers, are things that has really helped me in my journey. To be able to read the successes and struggles of others has helped me to realize that I am not alone on this island. Being active in PnP everyday has helped me personally keep the focus of where and what I want to be like in my head.
Comments from the PnP Cheerleader: Girls! Listen up! I have been thinking about this. If you are going to be a true PnP girl, you are going to have to REALLY want this, work hard on it. I know. I joined up with Corinne forever ago it seems like and she gave me all the tools I needed and I found every excuse not to do this or I thought I can do this or that, she can’t tell me what I need to do but I am going to sit here behind a computer and complain about it. Once I was honest with myself and what I wanted and started honestly writing down every single bite, lick, taste or in my case piece of candy that I ate is when I started to see results. But it wasn’t until I WANTED it that, I did it. I had the tools girls, I just didn’t do it. So next time you think that you can’t do it, just realize what you have.
We all can do it!
We just have to do it. Do you realize how much money that people pay personal trainers to sit there at the gym and tell them what to do, for how long, how to do this and that but you get on here, read what you are told to do, get to the gym by yourself, workout by yourselves, and see success! No one can force you to do this but if you do it cause you want it, believe, breath it, you will be successful I have no doubts!
A special thank you to all of you have been through all of my ups, downs and always believed in me, gave me a non sugar talk and helped me. And, of course, my husband Vincent who sacrifices a lot to be able to support me in my journey of bettering my health and myself for a lifetime.
