Running Resources

When people ask me why I run, I tell them, there's not really a reason, it's just the adrenalin when you start, and the feeling when you cross that finish line, and know that you are a winner no matter what place you got.

Hot PNP Tips!

  • Buy running shoes that are fitted for you. Go to a running store where the staff will watch you run in your shoes and analyze your gait. A good pair of shoes will last between 300-500 miles. Only wear these shoes while you run. On cross-training days wear your regular shoes.

  • Don't run too fast! So many people that have never run or are way out of shape feel like they need to be running like a maniac and barely able to breath. Your goal should be to work on how long you can run not how fast you are going. Once you have a good 6 months of running under you can add in an interval run or two each week.

  • Always potty before running even when you don't have to. It never fails, you skip the potty and one mile in the jarring and bouncing makes your bladder scream. There's nothing worse than being one mile into a trail and realizing that tree is about to get an extra watering.
